Tyler made the transfer to the University of Connecticut (UConn) from the University of New Hampshire for his junior season. Over the course of two seasons with the University of New Hampshire, he participated in 14 games. During that time, he posted a goals-against average of 3.24 and a save percentage of .883. In the 2022-23 season, he achieved a significant milestone by earning his first collegiate victory, registering 31 saves in a key win against St. Lawrence. Additionally, his strong academic performance earned him a spot on the prestigious Hockey East All-Academic Team, highlighting both his athletic and scholastic achievements during his time at New Hampshire.
