Eric Pohlkamp, a Brainerd, Minnesota native, is joining the University of Denver hockey team for the 2024-25 season as a transfer student. He spent his freshman year at Bemidji State University, leading all defensemen with 11 goals in 32 games and earning spots on the All-CCHA First Team and All-Rookie team. He previously excelled in the USHL with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, where he was named the 2022-23 USHL Defenseman of the Year. Internationally, Pohlkamp helped the United States win gold at the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship. Drafted by the San Jose Sharks in the 2023 NHL Draft, this fast-rising star is poised for continued success.
