Bennett Zmolek, a junior defenseman from Rochester, Minnesota, plays for the University of North Dakota and is majoring in management. In the 2023-24 season, he returned from injury to appear in 33 games, recording eight assists and leading the team with 91 blocked shots and a plus-17 rating. Before joining UND, Bennett played for Minnesota State, where he earned CCHA All-Rookie Team honors. Coming from a hockey family, his two younger brothers also played college hockey, and his father, Doug, had a career in the NHL.
